We love to eat out and try new foods. We don’t love paying the full restaurant price. That is why we use the internet to save us money. Here are some ways we do it:

Sign up for e-mail from your favorite restaurants. I am signed up as a Red Lobster member, and they periodically send me coupons for $4 off a dinner meal or a free appetizer. I just received an e-mail from TGI Fridays for $5 off a $15 dinner order.

Sign up every member of your family for the restaurant’s birthday club. I just received an e-mail for my son, who is about to turn 6, for a free kid’s meal at Famous Dave’s. Grandma especially likes Famous Dave’s, so we will be saving that one for when she comes.

Use restaurant.com to save big off your next meal out (up to $25 off a $35 order). Through Father’s Day, use the code FATHER to save 70% off your restaurant.com certificate.

When you use a restaurant.com certificate, be sure to respond to the follow up survey the restaurant will send you. I answered the survey for Fonda Isabel and at least twice a month they send us coupons for a free appetizer.

These are just a few ways you can use the internet to save money while dining out. Stay tuned for part two.

I shared this at Works for Me Wednesdays.
