Greetings folks! Here I am yet again with another helpful “money saving” post 🙂 Today I want you to spend some money!  Well, let me explain: Today I’m going to give you a list of money saving products that you should consider buying sometime. I guarantee these products will make their own expense back very quickly + keep saving you money for years to come!

So, let’s get started here….

Money Saving Products You Need To Have

Water Filter Bottle

Water Filter Bottle

You’ve heard it all before: You need to drink more water! Ok we get it :). Now, instead of buying bottled water, you should really think about investing in a plastic bottles that have a water filtration system. You can fill up from the tap and the water will be all good, clean and healthy to drink.

You will save a ton of cash in the long run using these type of bottles and you will get more water in you at the same time 🙂 It’s a win-win! A triple win if you count how much plastic you’ll be saving by not buying “normal” bottles water. 🙂

Amazon has a huge range of filter water bottles you can buy; the best buy being this offer on Brita’s 3 pack.

Electricity Usage Monitor

Electricity Usage Monitor

Electricity can be quite a large expense! And prices seem to be going up & up.

If you want to try to save money on electricity, you need to keep an eye on what, where and how to use certain electric appliances. The best tip I can give you here is that you should switch off everything you are not using. Don’t keep a laptop, TV and radio all going at the same time. It’s just a waste.

What you could also do is get yourself an electricity usage monitor that will help you see what is really driving up costs. I was receiving high electricity bills all throughout 2013, all thanks to my old electric oven that was sucking up a lot of watts.

Now that I realised it was costing too much to run it, I simply do not use it as much or just use my gas oven

See the full report on how an electricity usage monitor can help you save some money.

Solar Outdoor Lighting

Solar Power Lights

Well, electricity can be free! There is a powerful “never ending” power source that is the sun! If you have a garden, patio, garage, front lawn or whatever that needs to be lit up, why not consider a cheap solar lightning system that will last you for years and will cost you absolutely nothing?

No wires to run and nothing to connect. Just “drop it” where you want light up and let the sun do it’s job 🙂 Some are weather/water proof too so you can just leave them on any time of the year 🙂

Expresso / Coffee Machine

The best coffee maker

Ahh! Coffee! Personally I can not live without coffee, I don’t drink it just because; I take pride and pleasure in making a perfect cup every morning for me to enjoy and check my emails with! 🙂

Now, let’s say I am to have my regular cup at a coffee shop, minimum would be $2 a cup, everyday! That’s over $700 each year! 🙁 That’s a vacation right there and we’re talking minimum. FYI: Making coffee at home will cost you cents!

For just $58 you can get one of the BEST coffee-making machines on the market. You’ll make the money back in a month, tops and it will last you years! Do the math and tell me if you see the money saving potential here 🙂

Rechargeable Batteries + Charger

Remotes, wall clocks, alarm clocks, digital cameras and the sort all go through batteries like I go through coffee LOL! They are ruthless. A day out with your camera will drain two/three batteries any time. See how many batteries you consume and see if it’s worth getting yourself a pack of rechargeable batteries.

If you use them frequently, I suggest you switch but if not, it’s not worth the hassle.

Oh! Also don’t forget you need a battery charger too 😉

A Home Gym

A home gym

If you have a subscription to a gym, that easily costs you an average of $50 right? What if I told you that you can have your own personal gym for just $215.

If you have the space for it and some extra cash lying around, get yourself a home gym. You should really consider it  if your subscription is up soon and you’re going to fork out the cash anyway.

You’ll make the money back in 6 months or less and you save time going to and from the gym. Remember folks that your time costs money too!

A Kindle

The new HD Kindle

Wait! What? A Kindle? How is a Kindle supposed to save me money? Well…

  • Kindle books cost less than actually physical books. Usually about 25% less AND you save shipping.
  • You can get free ebooks from the Kindle store.

So yes, a Kindle is a huge money saver! 🙂 Also the new Kindle comes with all kinds of apps and the sort so it’s basically just like the iPad mini without the “Apple price tag”.
