We came home after a trip out of town to an apartment that was 88 degrees. We didn’t feel like doing any cooking while we waited for the apartment to cool down, so we took advantage of GrubHub (I wrote about it here) and ordered some sub sandwiches online from Eastgate Cafe.

We ordered at 3:41 p.m. and our meal was at our door by 4:15 p.m.

My husband ordered the Black Angus Roast Beef Sandwich ($7.39) which he enjoyed. His came with a side of egg salad.

I ordered a Smoked Turkey Breast Sandwich ($6.89) which came with a side of potato salad. I thought my sandwich was delicious. I am not usually a fan of turkey, but this turkey sandwich was very good. The bread was also slightly chewy, just the way I like it.

My son ordered the Ham and Swiss Cheese Sandwich ($6.99), which also came with a side of potato salad. He loved it.

Our meal also came with two bags of chips. When we are hungry for subs, we will definitely order from this restaurant again. The food was good and plentiful. I read online that their soup is also very good; maybe next time we will try that.

Our food came to $21.27, tax was $2.13, the delivery charge was $3.00, and we gave a $3.00 tip for a grand total of $29.40. Note to self–next time pick up the order at the restaurant to save $6.00 in delivery fees and tip.
