For years I had a credit card to earn airline miles (which I still have never redeemed). Last year, my credit card terms changed, so I switched to a credit card that offers rewards. One of the rewards is a $50 restaurant card. We redeemed one recently for $50 to our choice of Red Lobster or Olive Garden. Now, we will be able to eat a meal (and part of another meal) for free.

Does your credit card offer rewards that may lead to free dining? If you enjoy eating out, it may be worthwhile to check out.

However, make sure that you have the discipline to pay off the credit card each month. If not, you lose any financial advantages of the dining reward when you have to pay interest charges and fees.
