Weekly Review-The End of History Beer Edition

by Ray on July 25, 2010 · 4 comments

While listening to the radio on the way to work on Friday morning, I heard about the worlds strongest beer. It is called “The End of History Beer” and is made by Scottish BrewDog brewery, this beer has a 55% alcohol content (not 5.5…55%!) and is sold at a great bargain price of about 500 pounds! But that is not all, this beer has been put inside dead stoats, squirrels and a hare. The best part was that the beer was sold out within a day! I am not sure what part of this is the most shocking to me, the 55% alcohol content beer, the 500 pound price tag, the fact that it is inside a dead animal or that it sold out within a day? Would you try it? If so out of what animal would you drink?

I’m pretty sure I’d rather start my permanent retirement a couple days earlier than try 55% beer out of a dead squirrel.

Well, I guess this can’t be too surprising coming from the country that gave us haggis! ;) I don’t like beer, but my husband likes all the weird ones. Still, I don’t think even he would try this one.

Except for the price, that beer reminds me of the wine my father used to make.
