The Zweig article is interesting. Boards of Directors of publicly-traded companies usually seem to do a very poor job of representing shareholder interests. I’d like to see the SEC do something about this in the US, but I’m not holding my breath.

Interesting discussion on closet indexers and stock pickers on MDJ The “active shares” concept helps avoid closet indexers but doesn’t warn about manager turnover or style drift.
