Over the last few weeks you have probably noticed two regular writers on Financial Highway, I hope you have enjoyed their great articles so far. In March we decided to add two regular staff writers to Financial Highway and we are happy to have Miranda and Kathryn on board.
We will be adding more writers as we go on over the next few months, so if you know any hidden talents or if you are interested in joining us contact us and we can discuss the things. We are currently actively looking for a Canadian writer to join our team, but doors are always open to other interested writers who may fit what we are looking for.
Here is a little more about our newest staff writers:
Miranda:
Miranda is a journalistically trained freelance writer and professional blogger. She started out as a science writer (and still covers technology and physics for two publications), but jumped at the chance to write about finances about four years ago. While she is no financial professional, she has enjoyed learning about different ways readers can improve their financial situations — tips she can use herself! Miranda contributes to MainStreet.com, Personal Dividends, Moolanomy, MoneyNing and Good Financial Cents in addition to Financial Highway. Her own blog is at AllBusiness.com: Personal Finance Corner.
Kathryn
Kathryn Vercillo is a web writer/ blogger with 10 years of experience in researching and writing about personal finance. Topics that she’s particularly interested in include living a rich life on a frugal budget, personal finance for your 20s and 30s, the link between green living and frugal living and financial issues for urban dwellers. She lives in San Francisco, one of the most expensive cities in the country, so she definitely has to find creative ways to deal with personal finance in her daily life. It’s a challenge that she loves!

Nice! Miranda gets around
How do you choose staff writers? Or do they come to you and make you a pitch? I still feel the concept is foreign to my site, since I really enjoy writing. If I want to get another viewpoint, there are tons of people willing to guest post no?
Some I approach, some are recommended and sometimes they make a pitch. We do a trial if it is a good fit we continue with it.
Yea guest posts are great, but I am looking for regular contributors which is hard with guest posts. So far it has worked out pretty well
