This week in the Best of Money Carnival we received great amount of fantastic articles and enjoyed reading them, I hope you will enjoy them just as much!

10. Reports indicate that more and more Gen Y’s have fallen into a new addiction, it is not drugs, alcohol or gambling it seems to be a much more dangerous addiction. 9. Not sure how many people believe in ghosts or hunted houses, personally I don’t.  J. Money asks  Would You Buy a House That Someone Died In? If I would get a deal on it, I absolutely would.

Germany was the top scoring team in the world cup, although there were a few goals we could have picked from this goal by Oezil was probably one of the most important goals for them.

Planning for retirement is always complicated and never an exact science, those who either retired in the last two years or will be retiring in the next few years were the hardest hit with the recession. The host nation, South Africa, was the first host not to qualify out of the group stages. However this goal by Tschabalala was among one of the best in the tournament.

4. One of my favorite articles this week was by  Control your Cash titled Too big to stop failing. You’ll just have to read it to understand it.

3. I am a big believer in giving. For some it’s the tax deduction that motivates them for others it’s just giving back to the community. FMF says that Giving is a Complement to Wealth, Not a Hindrance, I’ll have to agree with him.

The 3rd place game is always a fun game to watch as the teams have nothing to lose and often it is filled with goals. This years 3rd place game saw 5 goals in total including this amazing goal by Diego Forlan, who also won the Golden Ball (MVP).

2. We are all pro’s when it comes to spending money, it’s often the savings part that we find difficult.  Eric Napier has a neat little trick when it comes to spending money that can help you reduce unneeded expenses, Ways to Spend Money.

1. The winner this week is….Miss T and her article Creating Wealth With What You Already Have.

The Dutch made it to the World Cup final for the third time and for the 3rd time they left only as the second best. They were the only team to win all their qualifying games as well as all the World Cup finals games within the 90 minutes, but it just wasn’t enough. This goal by their captain Giovanni van Bronckhorst was an absolute rocket!
